- All Contestants must be members of the Dalles Saddle Club for 1 year (12 months) prior to competing.
- WSCA guidelines will be used for establishing a candidate’s age.
Peewee Princess / Little Buckaroo 10 & under Princess / Wrangler 11 – 17
Queen 18 & over (18 is the required age to compete at the WSCA level)
- Candidates must be able to ride their horse unattended.
- There will be 1 Queen, 1 Princess, 1 Wrangler, 1 Peewee Princess and 1 Little Buckaroo.
- The competition will be judged by a panel of 2 judges.
- There will be a written essay, verbal interview and a patterned ride.
- If there are no contestants for a given year, the current Queen, Princess, Wrangler, Peewee Princess, or
Little Buckaroo would retain the crown for another year with the approval of the board of directors.
- All essays must be postmarked by the date stated in the newsletter. This date could change from year to
year depending on when the riding and interview portion will be judged.
- The club royalty must represent the club at 3 WSCA shows, one being our own 2-day show.
- The Peewee princess will receive a tiara, which she can keep. The Little Buckaroo will receive a belt
buckle he will be able to keep. The Queen’s tiara will be passed on to the next queen.
- The riding pattern will be mailed to all contests after their essays are received.
